MUSIC VIDEO REVIEW | NAGHARAMIA BY ALI KIBA FT. CHRISTIAN BELLA

By Sammy Anyona

Well, AliKiba might be proving for the umpteenth time that he is indeed the “Bongo Mfalme.”

The Dushelele singer dropped a collabo that featured the multi talented singer Christian Bella in Nagharamia, which loosely translates to ‘I Cater For’ in English.

Nagharamia was launched in November last year to fans who had been waiting with bated breath for the hit Bongo music, that has so far seen a fan craze and booming traffic to AliKiba’s Official music video channel on YouTube to an astounding 1,000,000+ views.

The song is about a pretty lady who has single handedly swept men head over heels in deep love for her; however, the catch to her profound beauty is that it is peculiarly familiar to her beholders.

Her familiarity breeds questions on where they might have seen her and with whom – sentiments that are fast-dispelled by ‘AliKiba’ through an affirmation to his friend (Bella) that she is undoubtedly he’s by virtue of the gifts he bestows on her.

This song apparently may turn out to be the most vernacular, owing to the horde vernacular terms used prominently including phrases like ‘yako kata loketo mama’ that directly translates to dance your hip off.

The High Definition music video, who’s shooting was done and produced and directed by East Africa’s finest Enos Olik (Kenyan), who goes by the tagline ‘ENOS OLIK WAZ HIA’ has no shilling spared as its quality is unrivalled.

Nagharamia video shooting was done in South Africa, a place most East African artistes seem to have grown fond of.
